I also explain curing time before leaving the property. Fresh sealant may need a full day or longer before regular water exposure, depending on the product and conditions. Using the shower too early can disturb a clean bead and create a path for moisture. Waiting one extra morning is easier than scheduling a return visit.

Repairs, Replacement, and Honest Expectations

Not every damaged glass feature needs to be redesigned. A worn shower sweep, loose handle, failed mirror adhesive, or damaged window seal may have a straightforward solution. I examine the glass, hardware, and surrounding structure before recommending replacement. Sometimes the least expensive repair is also the most sensible one.

There are situations where replacement is the safer choice. Tempered glass with a chipped edge, a cracked panel, or damaged hardware holes should be evaluated carefully because edge damage can weaken the entire piece. I do not attempt improvised repairs on safety glass. The risk is too high.

Older installations can also present compatibility problems. A hinge made fifteen years ago may no longer be available, and a new model may use different hole locations or plate dimensions.
